Ohio – Map 1

Here’s the eastern terminus of Route 36—Uhrichsville, Ohio, where the land and waters roll out of the Appalachian Mountains.

Newcomerstown, not far from the eastern end of the highway, touts the life and records of “Cy” Young, considered by many the greatest pitcher in major league baseball history.

At Roscoe Village near Coshocton we learn of Ohio’s mid-nineteenth-century canal history.

Delaware, home of Ohio Wesleyan University, is one of Ohio’s most vibrant, fastest-growing small cities.

Highway buffs will want to make a 20-mile side trip to Bellefountaine (north of Urbana) to visit the first long stretch of concrete laid in the USA.

Greenville is where we learn about General “Mad” Anthony Wayne and Annie Oakley, aka “Little Sharpshooter”(as named by Chief Sitting Bull and promoted by Buffalo Bill).
